Pondicherry is the capital city and the largest city of the Indian union territory of Puducherry. Pondicherry (or Puducherry), though small in geographical size, was the largest French colony in India until 1954, is now a Union Territory town bounded by the southeastern state of Tamil Nadu. Its French legacy is preserved in its French Quarter, with tree-lined streets, mustard-colored colonial villas and chic boutiques. A seaside promenade runs along the Bay of Bengal and passes several statues, including four meter high Gandhi Memorial. Promenade Beach is the popular stretch of beachfront in the city of Pondicherry. It is a 1.2 km long stretch in Pondicherry, starts from War Memorial and end at Dupleix Park on the Goubert Avenue. Other popular beach in Pondicherry is Paradise Beach, The Auroville Beach and Serenity Beach.

Day 1 : Chennai - Pondicherry (170 km - 3 hr approx.)

Upon Arrival at Chennai Airport you will be transferred to Pondicherry. Check-in to the hotel on arrival. Relax for a while and proceed for the Pondicherry sightseeing which includes the Pondicherry Beach, Promenade Beach, Paradise Beach, The Auroville Beach, Serenity Beach, Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Boat House, Auroville and Museum. Overnight stay in Pondicherry.

Day 2 : Local city tour to Pondicherry

After breakfast proceed for the remaining sightseeing in Pondicherry which includes, Arikamedu (an archaeological site), AAYI Mandapam (Park Monument) in Bharathi Park. Overnight stay in hotel at Pondicherry.

Day 3 : Pondicherry to Chennai (170 km - 3 hr approx.) / Departure

After breakfast, check out from hotel and proceed to Chennai Airport / Railway Station on time to catch your onward flight / train.

  • Any increase in Airlines taxes or fuel price at the time of departure, leading to increase in cost on surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect prior to departure.
