Most hill stations in India we know were developed by the home-sick Englishmen, looking to recapture the beauty and scenic splendour of old England. Kodaikanal begs to differ as it’s the only one in India developed by the Americans. Between 1844 and 1885 two of the first houses, Sunnyside and Shelton built by American missionaries, came up on South Lake Road. From then on the hill station became closely associated with more American missionary families settling here to escape the southern summers.

Day 1 : Arrival at Bangalore

Arrival at Bangalore airport/ railway station and transfer to the hotel. Later in the afternoon proceed for sightseeing of Bangalore – visit Lal Bagh Botanical Garden, Cubbon Park, Vidhana Soudha, Bangalore Palace, Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, Bull Temple and St. Patrick’s Church. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 2 : Bangalore - Mysore (140 km - 3 hr approx.)

After breakfast, proceed to Mysore by road. On arrival, check-in to the hotel. Later visit the Mysore Palace. Return to hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 3 : Mysore city tour

Today enjoy full day city tour of Mysore which includes visit to Brindavan Gardens, Chamundi Hills, Mysore Lake, Mysore Zoo, Mysore Amusement and St. Philomena’s Church. Overnight in Mysore.

Day 4 : Mysore - Coorg (110 km - 2.5 hr approx.)

Post breakfast proceed to Coorg, upon arrival check-in to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5 : Coorg city tour

Proceed for city tour of Coorg, en route visit Madikeri Fort, Raja’s Seat, Iruppu Falls, Abbey Falls and Omkareshwara Temple. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 6 : Coorg - Ooty (300 km - 7.5 hr approx.)

Enjoy breakfast, proceed towards Ooty. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 7 : Ooty city tour

Today’s schedule will include the visit to The Botanical Garden, The Dodabetta Peak, Ooty Lake, The Rose Garden, Lamb’s Rock. Overnight stay at the hotel / resort in Ooty.

Day 8 : Ooty - Kodaikanal (300 km - 7.5 hr approx.)

After breakfast proceed to Kodaikanal. Upon arrival, check in and relax at the hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 9 : Kodaikanal city tour

Today proceed to visit The Kodai Lake, Coaker’s Walk, Bryant Park, Green Valley View, Pillar Rocks and Kurinji Andavar Temple.

Day 10 : Kodaikanal - Bangalore (450 km - 8 hr approx.) / Departure

Check out from the hotel and proceed to Bangalore / Madurai / Coimbatore airport / railway station for onward journey.
