Located on the spectacular coastline of the Bay of Bengal, this magical state covers most of the eastern part of the Deccan plateau and the eastern plans of the Eastern Ghats. The Eastern Ghats being a mineral-rich area, are covered with thick vegetation and the two regions are connected by a patch of spare vegetation, creating the name “The rice bowl of India”.

Andhra Pradesh, the fourth largest state in India, has always been the frontrunner in attracting a greatest number of tourists, inland and foreign, as it boasts of a naturally, ecologically, culturally and religiously rich and diverse variety of tourist destinations that are treasures of visual treat where one can continuously explore new experience of visitor gratification and delight. Bounding is natural resources, the state of Andhra Pradesh having the longest eastern coastline and with a trail of Buddha Period glory, houses and holds many heritage sites adorned with pristine splendour. The forts, citadels and architectural masterpieces built by the past royal hegemony and its noble Emperors and the magnificent palaces and places, monuments, memorials, tombs and stately structures built by them reflect the art and craftsmanship, architecture and culture that originated on this land. Rajahmundry, an example of architectural magnificence dating back to 1022 AD still stands today on the banks of the Godavari River surrounded by towering coconut trees and lush green paddy fields. Kondapalli Fort, another ancestral marvel is a treat to the eyes which once served as a training camp of the British Empire.

Temples and shrines of pilgrimage are other important destinations of tourist traffic and are a big source of revenue flow. Andhra Pradesh comprises many diverse styles of temples. The Chalukyan, Nagara, Dravidian, and the Orissa sculpture are seen in the edifice of temples in the souther state. Tirupati, one of the richest temples in the world, ropes in millions of pilgrims throughout the year. Museums and archaeological treasure houses with different galleries showcase historic and amazing collections of antiques, artifacts weaponry and a wide range of objects that symbolize the history and culture and marvels of the territory. Salar Jung Museum is a great attraction that displays a wide selection of sculptures, artifacts, paintings and ancient objects that were left behind by the different rulers of the region. The local language of the region, Telegu is an extremely poetic language and many compositions and poems have been written in this language. The nuances of the language highlight the depth of the language. Influencffed by Sanskrit, Telegu is an exceptionally rich language. The architectural ruins of the sate recall a history of more than 2000 years, Nagarjuna Sagar Dam is a pride of Andhra, being biggest masonry dam in the world, a testament to the architectural glory of the state. The state is blessed with a variety of traditions, religious, and cultures.
