Gir National Park is the only habitat of the Asiatic Lion in India. It also has a large leopard population besides a thriving population of Sambar, Spotted Deer, Chinkara Gazelle, Nilgai and Chow Singha, the world’s only four armed antelope. Attractive birds like the Asian Paradise Fly Catcher, Painted Sandgrouse, treepie, hoopoe etc. can be seen while driving through the sanctuary which is known for its raptors like the changeable Hawk Eagle and Crested Serpent Eagle. Gir Forests in Sasan Gir, Gujarat was given the status of wildlife sanctuary in the year 1965 and 10 years later, in the year 1975, it was demarcated as a National Park in Gujarat as well. The total covering area of protected forests is approximately 1400 km which comprises of approximately 260 km area of National Park and the remaining area as Wildlife Sanctuary. The park is known all over the world for housing varied endangered species of big cats including Asiatic Lions. The National Park also houses over 300 species of birds. Day 1 : Arrival at Sasan Gir

On arrival at Sasan Gir abode of Asiatic Lions and considered excellent for bird watching, check-in to the hotel. The park checklist has around 250 birds and about 50 other species which are recorded in the grasslands along the perifery of the sanctuary. In the evening, go for Wildlife Safari at Gir National Park. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 : Morning and Evening Safari at Sasan Gir

Today you will undertake safaris (morning and evening safari/optional) for exploring different areas of the park. Kamleshwar Dams are home to Crocodiles. Lion sighting is generally good all through the year. Various activities (optional) like nature walk, crocodile farm visit are also available inside Gir Forest National Park.

Day 3 : Departure

After breakfast, proceed towards nearest railway Station or Airport for onward journey back to Home.
