From crafting skills on display (at the Norbulingka Institute nearby) to a lively film culture, there’s plenty of action all year round in this ‘Little Tibet’. This dynamic holy leader and the Tibetan people fled to India for refuge from the Chinese crackdown over Tibet in the 1959. The trials and tribulations and the acts of courage to make that terrible and hazardous journey through the snowy passes is documented here in the museum. The Indian government helped to relocate the religious leader and the administration of the Tibetan Government-in Exile in the tranquil twin townships of Dharamsala and McLeodganj. Visitors from all over the world come to take His Holiness’ blessing, including actors such as Richard Gere and Goldie Hawn, and marvel at how a shattered people are putting their lives back together again.

Day 1 : Delhi - Amritsar (450 km - 8 hr approx.)

Pickup from Delhi and transfer to hotel in Amritsar. Overnight stay.

Day 2 : Amritsar city tour

Today, proceed to visit the famous Sikh Holy Shrine, Golden Temple (also known as Harmandir Sahib) followed by visit to Jallian Wala Bagh, Martyr's Gallery Museum, Durgaina Temple etc. Later visit Wagah Border (International border between India and Pakistan) and enjoy the show there.

Day 3 : Amritsar - Dalhousie (200 km - 5 hr approx.) & Khajjiar sightseeing (if time permits)

After breakfast, check-out from hotel and drive to Dalhousie. On your arrival, check-in to the hotel & unwind for a while. Later head towards Khajjiar - The Mini Switzerland of India. You can indulge in various sports activities such as Zorbing and Kayaking (optional). Sightseeing highlights of the day are Khajji Nag Temple and Khajjiar Lake. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4 : Day excursion to Panchpula and Satdhara Falls visit

Post breakfast, proceed to visit Panchpula, as the name suggests, means five bridges. While on your way, you will halt at Satdhara Falls. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5 : Dalhousie - Dharamshala (120 km - 4 hr approx.)

After breakfast, checkout from hotel & move to Dharamshala. On arrival, check-in to your hotel, on arrival, relax for a couple of hours before heading out for sightseeing in Dharamshala (if time permits). During this local city tour, you will visit Mcleodganj, Bhagsu Nag, Kangra Art Gallery, various Tibetan Monasteries. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 : Dharamshala - Manali (via Kullu) (240 km - 8 hr approx.)

Post breakfast checkout from hotel and proceed towards Manali. While on your way, you will take a halt at Kullu. As you reach Manali, you will check in to your hotel. Day free at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 7 : Manali city tour

After breakfast, day free for leisure activities. In the afternoon, start the local sightseeing trip of Manali with the Mall Road and continue towards Vashisht Temple, Hidimba Temple and Van Vihar. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 8 : Excursion to Solang Valley and Himvalley Park

After breakfast, visit Solang Valley and Himvalley Park. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 9 : Manali - Shimla (250 km - 7 hr approx.)

Morning drive to Shimla. On arrival check in to your hotel and relax for a while. If time permits, you will visit some of the major tourist attractions of Shimla, like Jakhoo Temple & The Ridge. Once done you can walk through Mall Road, where you can enjoy shopping and the sites of British buildings. Return to your hotel and stay overnight.

Day 10 : Excursion to Mashobra and Kufri

After breakfast, you will proceed to these amazing destinations like Mashobra and Kufri with divine beauty. Here you can enjoy activities like Horse Riding and Rock Climbing (optional). After a fun-filled day head back to hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 11 : Shimla - Delhi (360 km - 8 hr approx.)

After breakfast, check out from hotel. Later drive towards Delhi.
